This is a pretty interesting guitar. I just recently got into Electras MPC’s (module powered cirucuts) because of the unique bonus of having and interchanging effects right on board. If you aren’t familiar with them, there is a separate compartment next to the regular wiring cover (on the back of the body) where a multitude of different guitar effects modules can be plugged in (I believe 12 in all).

When I received it, the crappy 30+ year old 9V battery wires had come apart, so I replaced the connector with a new more sturdy one. Works great.

The guitar itself is in good condition for its age showing signs of use. I've included many pictures to enjoy and for your perusal. As so many of the guitars of this age, the gold hardwares plating has dissipated in places, or has aged color with years. Since not having an Electra guitar before with inlays, its hard to compare this particular one with the craftsmanship of other such guitars. To say, the mother of pearl appears to have come off in places... I like the fact that you cant really tell from a few feet away, but have a look at the photos and see for yourself.

MPC ELECTRA SEMI-ACOUSTIC
This new MPC semi-acousitc model is the most advanced guitar for the jazz and rock musician. Modular Powered Circuits (MPC) plug into the back of the guitar.
This MPC semi-acousitc has Super Magafluz pickups which give an enriched output signal for greater tonal variety. Note the genuine mother-of-pearl "tree-of-life" fingerboard inlay. The body is made of curly maple with an antique brown sunburst finish. An internal slab of wood runs the entire length of the body which promotes more sustain. The stop-tailpiece is imbedded directly into the guitar body, giving more sustain than a conventional trapeze tailpiece. There is a brass sustain block under the bridge which also promotes sustain. The solid brass nut wont wear out like plastic and increases sustain. Tone Spectrum Circuitry: The rotary switch allows you to throw the humbucking pickups in phase, out of phase, in series or in parallell for a greater variety of sounds. Built-in Neck: Neck/body junction is like one solied piece, enhancing sustain and strength.
